OMKARA - Review

It was one of the most anticipated & awaited films of the year “Omkara”. As always I booked my tickets well in advance to ensure that I get the first review for it in my circle (which I always do) The central theme of the film revolves around love, jealousy and betrayal, portrayed by a stellar star cast consisting of Ajay Devgan,Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Vivek Oberoi, Naseeruddin Shah and Konkana Sen Sharma.The film is Vishal Bharadwaj's interpretation of the Shakespeare’s classic, Othello.

Set against the milieu of political warfare in the interiors of Uttar Pradesh, the film follows one man's descent into jealousy because of his passionate love for his woman and the final destruction of that love at the altar of blind obsession. Love is blind but jealousy is even blinder and that can tear apart even the strongest and bravest of warriors – in this case Omkara.
But like all love stories which never really end...out of the ashes of this one too comes a twist…Omkara's dark love for Dolly, Dolly's unquestioning love for Omi, Langda's warped loyalty and jealousy for Omi, the vibrant Kesu's unswerving devotion to Omi – all lead up to a dark tragedy by the end of which Omi finally realizes the backlash of his actions but is it too late…?

the surprise package of this movie is Saif who plays Langda Tyagi.....Saif has given an amazing performance and this character will never be forgotten....Infact saif has packed so much punch in this character that it overshadows everything he has done till date in bollywood...this could very well be Saif's debut in a new avatar....i can say only one line to saif why he did not do such a performance before...Ajay devgan proves in the role of Omi Shukla that you dont need a lot of scenes or even dialogues for that matter to make an impact....Bravo Ajay you have done the job yet again ...you are one of the top actors we have had till date. Rest cast is ok. (I dont much like Vivek and Karina so they were ok. Konkana was fabulous. Specially those chilly dialogs of her really some time made me feel blank!!

I don't know if most of you will like it cause of the language(Proper UP one) and some other contents but I would give it 10/10.
