Life Is Calling......Where Are You?

Last four days have been one dream run; still in the spell of those unforgettable mesmerizing moments which I am surely going to carry forward with me always. Trip to another kind of paradise called South Florida (Miami & Key West), lush green sea shores of Atlantic Ocean and vast stretch of Bay of Mexico, south Florida is one heavenly place for sure.

Traveling has always been one of my favorite passions and when it comes to adventure the shoe laces are even tighter; exploring the nature and getting as close as possible can only reveal you the truth of verity of surprises nature has in store. Roaming around endlessly to get something upfront and close to nature can bring brisk smile on my face; it has always been the case from very early days.

Day-1

Started early from Orlando to by pass the traffic and in a not so long four hour journey here I was in the Miami; the downtown skylines were telling me there is lot to be explored here and when I saw the Atlantic Ocean, the lush green color and the soothing waves coming right on my face made me lost in the nature. Grabbing a quick bite I headed to the South beach which was only five minute walk from my hotel and here I was South Beach Miami. Life is calling……..and where I was before?

Day-2

While still in the aura created by the enchanting waves I was stuck by yesterday, I wasted no time in getting onto the sea shore as soon as possible, best part of the entire beach is between 21st street till 14th street. While I was on the move through the wooden bridge which was in place to escort you till the beaches; it was vigilant from there what life has in store for me today. When I first touched the water I was all blue; it was very cold and green, the blues went off as soon as I took my first dip in the water, it was the harmony of waves throwing me here and there; tearing apart all my fears and asking me to get in deeper and deeper into it. I hesitated a lot initially but couldn’t resist risking getting deeper into the sea; nature was calling and I was there to accept. Overwhelmed with the captivating sea, I shifted my focus to look around on others who may have been feeling the same way I was feeling: charming, excited and experiencing heavenly! I sure was on the cloud number nine today.

Day-3

Human nature is greedy; they don’t just stop and say they are satisfied, their thrust keep on getting bigger and bigger as the days progress. I am also a human being and so I am no different, the experience I had yesterday wasn’t enough for me and I was striving for more; that’s when I started my journey to the southernmost part of US; KEY WEST!
A four hour journey through the coastline of Gulf of Mexico; Spell was again on today; everything was so beautiful that I didn’t even get time to realize that I reached my destination. There were lots of bridges we crossed on the way but the most noticeable was the one which had 7.5 miles of stretch. I was absolutely amazed thinking the efforts which would have been put across to build these wonders. The city lives on the coast of Gulf and the coastline follows you where ever you go; just like the Hutch puppy. Being on the Southernmost point of US reminded me the old days when I was in Trivandrum and went to Kanyakumari: The southernmost point in India. Nothing has changed from then,I was the same;in the quest of exploring more and more out of life. Packed with lots of memories of the Gulf, I headed to my temporary home Miami.

Day-4

While today is the day I was suppose to come back to Orlando; heart was not letting me go without experiencing the heaven out there on the south beach. My self helpless in front of my heart, again headed to the south beach and the scene I saw there was something that shook me. Today the sea was violent, the beach which was crowded two days back had hardly someone getting in; I could feel the fury of nature, the waves were thrashing and throwing everything that came in the way. It was not the same heaven which I experienced two days back, but I guess I was even ready to face the hell and so I went in, this time cautiously not too deep. After spending sometime there I started back to my hotel and headed towards back home. In last four days everyday I experienced something new and something that will stay with me in my golden memories forever. I have now touched all the four poles of US. Let me start thinking beyond US for my next adventure trip. How about Machu-Picchu in Peru?

Life is calling again……..where I am?

Saawariya - Unleashed!!

One of my most awaited movie for the year was Saawariya, me being a big fan of Sanjay was expecting something at par as succession of the previous eras he created and was eager to watch and get answer of my below questions:
1) Whether Sanjay Leela Bhansali would manage to converge the innocence of Khamoshi, romance of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, grandeur of Devdas and sensitivity of Black into Saawariya?
2) Whether Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor indeed herald a new era of young romance?
3) Will I be watching this movie unquestioningly again and again?

I found my answer after a disappointing two and half hours watching Saawariya. To be very frank I am yet in shock that Sanjay can make a movie like this? I always considered him next to Satyajit Ray, Bimal Roy as far as class goes, next to Raj Kapoor when it comes to the showmanship and next to Guru Datt when it comes to tragedy but this was an utter most disappointment for me. Not even a single aspect of movie making be it cinematography, dialogs, performance, editing, timing of songs or even the script had anything which would look refreshing. Entire time I was not sure if I am watching a movie or a set of distinct songs which are put across as and when the bridge is shown in the movie.

While watching and reading in the news about Sajay getting angry on the lead actress Sonam of not being able to perform; now I could say that given such a melodramatic puppet role whose job is to start giggling without any reasons and if require drop some glycerin tears again without any reason can drive you crazy sometimes. Ranbeer was just ok, if Rani wouldn’t have been part of the movie or I should say her character then I would have preferred watching Ekta Kapoor soaps more than this movie. I am not sure if I would like to listen any song from this movie again which I was doing lately a lot as it will remind me those horrible time I spent watching this piece of GOOD FOR NOTHING.

Sanjay wakeup!! you are a talented man; don’t lose the way. Please get some professional help and reform yourself. Just putting melodious music can’t guarantee a movie to be liked by the audience, it require a good story to go along with that as well.

From my side it's a complete no to those who even wish to see this movie and those who have already seen........I understand their pain.

So Far So Good!

They say the physical distance between two doesn’t matter as long as you have the urge and affection in-between. Although staying thousand of miles away from the loved ones, heart still feels the warmth and pain. When you are so much attached to someone then why do you stay apart, why not stay together and share the same feelings, is it so difficult to stay together and get the same? I would say yes! Having experienced the same from years, I am in complete agreement that it’s the distance that keeps the love and affection alive between. Not being specific to your family or friends but in general. It’s strange though that when you used to be with the people now you pray seeing, you never gave them a glare. To understand this inner most philosophy; we need to introspect the very nature of human.

We human have this uncanny nack of picking the goals on virtue rather than listening to your vices (By vices I mean listening to heart). We consider love is to be earned by your act but always forget to realize that it is something someone deserves. Love and affection are not gifts. If you tell a beautiful woman that she is beautiful what have you done? It’s a fact and she has earned it, it’s not a gift but when you tell an ugly woman that she is beautiful leaving your virtue apart to make her feel gifted, that’s real love. It’s not always the case that everyone should work according the vices, never did I mean that but when it comes to the one you love; one need to keep the virtue outside and have the vices take over (Not always though). This is not so easy in the practical world as day to day when competition is growing across the board; one has to use their virtue to stay ahead in the cat race. Urge to lead the cat race and immerge as the winner to get love and affection from others (As earned gift) makes one forget that he/she has left behind someone waiting and anticipating attention. This is when the distance between hearts starts to build even in the close proximity.

That’s why when you stay thousands of miles away; you let your vices take over on your virtues. This is the bridge that changes the distance in proximity and let everyone feel the affection and love. Sometimes distance does help in reviving the lost happiness in relationship. I am happy that I am far away from my loved ones; at least I am sure that my vices would always let me stay close to them. So Far So Good!!

Om Shanti Om - Review

One ticket and maximum fun; how is the deal? Well deal is on and named Om Shanti Om for you. A Diwali bumper offer from the house of King Khan and of course Farah Khan.

To start with the story it’s more or less reincarnation of Karz by Subhash Ghai, so those who watch it thinking a new stream can stop thinking the same, although the treatment is much advanced and grand with consistent twists and turns. First half deals with successful recreating Era of Golden seventies where one in million Om runs behind and saves life of his “Dreamy Girl” Shanti who happens to be the raining superstar then. But when it comes to the happy ending of their saga, life takes a twist and an unfortunate event takes life of both Om and Shanti (I don’t want to spoil the suspense plot here).

While the second half starts with the current time, Om Kapoor who is raining superstar now is a star son of seventies superstar Rajesh Kapoor who was in a way involved in the story of first part. With some twist and turns in the story, Om recalls his past life that he is a rebirth of Om and he is on a mission to accomplish the left task from his past life with the help of Sandy (Sandhya) who apparently is his biggest fan. That’s the end of story.

Kudos to Farah Khan that she was so right in making this film by including all the ingredients in the movie; be it comedy, romance, emotion, drama or suspense. Movie is to its entire stretch a treat to watch. Music background was also very nice by Vishal and Shekar; each song comes with the requirement not as if they are padded just to feel the time; lyrics make them even more soothing while listening. Sets that recreate the seventies Era are fabulous and makes scenic pleasure entire movie. From the cast SRK rocks undoubtedly, I must say I liked this one the most of his entire performances till date. He had a tough task this time to match with a young girl Deepika as a pair and didn’t both look stunning together, just picture perfect. I can write ten pages praising SRK for his show this time but let’s get on to others. Kirron Kher is remarkable in her performance, the scene between him and SRK in second half would bring tears to your eyes. Shreyas was as good as he could, he and SRK were brilliant together almost every where in movie. Pick of the movie is Arjun Rampal, be sure to get surprised with the role he is playing in the movie; he steals the show when ever he comes on the frame. Now comes my favorite part: Deepika!! I wish the dialog SRK says “Jub kisi ko dil se chhaho to sari kayanat use aapse milane ke liye aa jati hai” come true for me. She is a Diva, no more Katrina for me now; it’s all Deepika from now onwards. Watch out her in forthcoming ventures, this time other than her mesmerizing smile she had very little to do in front of the big shots in the movie.

I highly recommend this one to everyone; go out and have healthy fun.
